Treatment Fees

Payment and Insurance
My practice accepts Visa/Mastercard, American Express, Zelle, personal checks and cash. I do not take insurance however, upon request and once treatment fees have been paid, I will generate a superbill for services rendered at the end of every month.

Individuals

$225-$250 / 50 minute session

On average, treatment fees for once to twice weekly treatment are in this range. Should you qualify for a reduced rate (sliding scale) and if it is clinically advisable, you will be referred to my associate, Ben Chandler, M.A. whose work with clients I supervise.

Couples

$250-$275 / 50 minute session

On average, treatment fees for once to twice weekly treatment are in this range. In the event a couple requests a reduced fee, they may be referred to my associate, Ben Chandler, M.A. whose work with clients I supervise.

Psychoanalysis

Fee will be negotiated / 50 minute session

Because psychoanalyses take place over several appointments per week, establishing your fee for treatment becomes part of our clinical process. Please bring any questions you have to our meeting when we discuss your interest in psychoanalytic treatment.

Clinical Consultation

Individual: Licensed  $225 / 50 minute session

Licensed professionals seeking clinical consultation may request a standard meeting time or schedule an appointment as needed.

Individual: Pre-licensed  $150 / 50 minute session

Pre-licensed professionals seeking clinical consultation may request a standard meeting time or schedule an appointment as needed. Please note, if you are currently working with a supervisor, you must discuss your interest in obtaining outside consultation with them prior to commencing our work together.

Group: Licensed  $375 total / 50 minute session OR Pre-licensed  $300 total / 50 minute session

Typically, clinicians interested in group consultation, form a group and hire a consultant. These groups can meet as often as weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. After the initial meeting to assess fit, I request a three-month commitment from the members of the group. I have found that a group can function well with a minimum of 3 but no more than 6 individuals. My consultation groups often take place on Zoom and usually last 50 minutes.

The Writer's Room

$225/50 minute session

Typically, individuals looking to apply insight-oriented practices to the creation of story and character - and to work through challenging creative blocks - meet with me 2-3 times to discuss their project. In those meetings, I learn about them as an artist. We identify their unique voice, their talents and any specific problems they are having moving their creative work forward.

Some producers and writers consult with me about psychological issues pertaining to their characters and story arcs. Others use the time to explore their own intuitive writing process. I am able to assist writers who want to incorporate feedback they have received from actors, agents and development executives, but who also want to remain faithful to their original ideas. Many writers use our session time to draw inspiration from dreams, meaningful interactions with others, observations on society and repetitive themes from their own life.

All work remains the intellectual property of the writer. My process is designed to support the artist as they work through whatever challenges they face developing rich, interesting, and emotionally viable characters and stories.

Treatment Fee Estimate

"No surprises."

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, commonly known as the No Surprises Act, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. It is recommended that once you receive your good faith estimate you keep a copy for your records or take a picture for future reference. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call HHS at 1-800-985-3059
